DEAF MINISTRY
St. Catherine's is the only Church in the state of Iowa that has Sign Language interpreters at every Sunday Morning Mass.
St. Catherine's is the home of the Catholic Deaf Community. Sign Language available at our Sunday Mass at 10:30 am.
Sunday mornings from September to May a deaf study group meets before Mass. The readings and Gospel are discussed and reviewed. All deaf are welcome to join.
Twice monthly, scheduled thru Gus and Dee Cordero, a movie and study group is offered. The movie is usually split between 2 weeks and discussed. Any questions contact Gus and Dee.
Reconciliation is offered with an interpreter, or without if you prefer to write it down, anytime with an appointment. Contact the office at 515-650-8646 or office@stcatherinedrake.org.
MASS
An interpreter is available every Sunday for 10:30 am Mass. All are welcome to celebrate Mass using ASL.
BIBLE STUDY
Every Sunday at 9:30 am the Deaf Community meets in the library to study the readings for Mass. All are welcome!
SAINT MOVIE
After it is safe to re-gather: Every other week on Thursday afternoons the Deaf Community meets at St Catherine's to watch a movie about a Saint. They watch half the movie, have a discussion throughout, then continue it the next time they get together. The movie begins at 1:00 pm and they are usually finished by 4:00 pm. Bring a snack to share and join us!

QUILTING QUEENS
When it is safe to re-gather: Every other week on Tuesdays the women of the Deaf Community meet at St Catherine's to quilt. They begin their morning with prayer and work on a pattern together under the guidance of Dee Cordero. It depends on the project how long each weekly session and project lasts.

David Robinson Scholarship
Annually, the David Robinson scholarship will be up to $5,000 and for the purposes of paying the student’s educational expenses.
