Bishop Drumm Retirement Center Receives The Gold Seal of Approval® from The Joint Commission

Since its founding by the Sisters of Mercy, almost 80 years ago, Bishop Drumm has been on the forefront of healthcare innovation and in providing the highest quality care. Only a small number of centers across the country undergo the rigorous accreditation process to receive The Gold Seal of Approval® by The Joint Commission and Bishop Drumm Retirement Center is the first in Iowa to earn this health care distinction. This is Bishop Drumm’s second quality of care award; it was recently named to the Nursing Home Quality Care Collaborative Iowa Honor Roll.

As a Catholic senior living community that celebrates daily Mass, Bishop Drumm serves nearly 300 residents with a full continuum of care including independent and assisted living for seniors as well as skilled nursing and rehabilitation.
